About Me
Hi, my name is Hamza and I enjoy creating projects that can be fun or that solve a problem. My interest in web development started after I finished my computer science degree. I love the fact that a simple API can reach thousands even millions of people and give a real added value. Turns out web development is really funny and you can imagine a lot of different ideas.
My main focus these days is building insurance products and digital experiences at Qover. But also spend a lot of time recently building a Muslim web app name Salat.

Where I’ve Worked
Software Engineer @ Qover
Bruxelles, Belgium
Oct 2017 - Present

Working as a FullStack engineer, so dealing with the frontend and mostly backend these days. Creating and maintaining microservices that we have on our architecture. But the main task is to create those insurance products such as travel, bike and much more.
-
Providing services to be able to create an insurance contract such as handling payment, firing emails, creating pdf, validations, ... we had multiple periods so we had to deal with multiple ways to design and we also learned and improved our services and products.
-
So we experienced various technologies our first services use AWS services, deploying services there. Coding in JavaScript using Git as versioning. Creating documentation for our REST API, testing them via postman, building a custom frontend for it also. Now we evolved our system using a powerful framework such as Nestjs, Typescript, Cloud services.
-
Besides all of that, I also learned how to handle a formation of an internship. So I tried to help each year student to be able to join the team after. A successful experience had two students both of them joined the team and are still there. Like to share experience and acknowledge.
Some Things I’ve Built
Featured Project
Code generator
A powerful plugin to vscode that enables you to generate Typescripts code from a protobuf message, from a text selection. The code generated can be chosen among the different commands. Generates classes, getters, setters, mappers, tests, ...
Featured Project
Nbs
I created a full admin panel for a boxing club. The aim of the software application was to provide a tool for handling the affiliation of a customer to the club. They can handle payment, view on the client, basic operations on them, reports, statistics, and more. A custom REST API was created for them and distributed on a web page. The database was on the cloud and fully secured for the operations.
Featured Project
Salati
I always wanted to build something that can be useful for a community. The first community I am in from my birth is Muslim! What a great opportunity for me to build something that can bring me peace and satisfaction and also be useful for other people. I wanted to create something that can provide your prayer time for any location. A lot of actors do the same today, but I wanted something that can be more like a hybrid app. Have it as a web app, website, desktop app, in the same way, that's good for me! Nothing to bother the customer, no advertisement, just free service. This will be the server support behind the possible application or website that can come later.
Featured Project
Cryptofolio
Virtual crypto wallet to see the values of your cryptocurrencies. See some news, price, total amount, and can be configurable. Simple application that I create to be run as a desktop app for any os. I was tired to open multiple websites, centralized information locally so just for you.
Other Noteworthy Projects
view the archiveFlight tracky
Sometimes when someone says that he takes a flight I like to go and track where is this plane now, what is the estimated time, ... Here is a simple app to get this information. A flight tracker website.
ASCII Webcam
A lightweight application writes in Python runs by a command line. It simply captures your webcam flux and renders it as a matrix-style video. It’s rendering live, quite funny.
